Burien “House on Stilts”
Originally built in 1987, this Burien home “on stilts” needed a facelift to bring it up to date and incorporate the new homeowners’ vision. A wall of windows out to the Puget Sound was the obvious focal point, and many decisions centered on letting that view be seen from as many rooms as possible.
- Replaced kitchen
- Installed new hardwood floors
- Removed walls and extended ceilings
- Built pantry
- Relocated laundry room
- Complete interior painting
- Built-out basement
- Renovated bathroom
- Replaced back deck with LED-lit decking
- Rebuilt front walkway and egress staircase
